Grill Power Issues / No Power to the GrillUpdated a month ago
If your grill is not receiving power to the control panel or has shut off unexpectedly during cooking, there may be an issue with the power supply, the wires leading to your controller, or the control panel itself. ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU UNPLUG YOUR GRILL before you start looking over any parts.
Step 1: Check the AC Adapter and Power Leads
1. The Early version of GMG Prime AC Adapters has 4 different points of connection from the outlet to the grill. Make sure each is securely fastened.
If all connections are secure, you may need to check your power source. Your GFCI or breaker may have tripped, cutting power to the grill.
2. Inspect the LED on the power supply. If there is no LED illumination when connected to power or if the LED is blinking/flickering, the AC Adapter is faulty and will need to be replaced. Replacement AC Adapters can be purchased from the Hark BBQ website. If your grill is under warranty, please email HARKBBQ to raise a warranty claim.
3. Inspect the tip of the power lead to ensure it springs back when pressed. If the tip of the power lead isn't providing firm contact with the socket, the power of the grill may cut out.
Step 2: Inspect the Female Port on the Hopper Box
Next, check the female port on your hopper box for any loose connections.
1. Unscrew the two bolts securing the protective grate under the hopper box. This will allow you to inspect the connections more thoroughly.
2. Ensure that both leads are firmly connected to the power socket inside the hopper box. By following these steps, you can identify potential issues with your grill's power supply and connection.
